An interactive roadshow promoting ways to protect people from influenza will be in Queenstown on November 29 and 30 at the Queenstown Events Centre.
The Southland District Health Board (SDHB) and Southland Civil Defence Emergency Management Group have jointly hired the Pandemic Influenza Roadshow display from Canterbury Civil Defence Emergency Management.
The board's emergency planner, Sandra Miller, said the display showed how people could keep influenza out of the workplace and their homes.
The roadshow was also available for bookings, and was suitable for all ages, she said.
"The roadshow experience is open to the whole community and features educational videos, information pamphlets and competitions . . . [and] health professionals . . . to share their knowledge and give advice."
The roadshow could be booked by contacting Ms Miller on 027 600 6394.
