The mountain came down town for the Air New Zealand Holidays Invitational Rail Jam, at Earnslaw Park, in Queenstown, on Friday night.
The Rail Jam, which was held as part of the Queenstown Winter Festival, attracted the best of New Zealand's snowboarders and free skiers on a purpose-built rail.
Truckloads of snow wwere brought down from the mountains for the event.
A crowd estimated at 2500 was treated to a hair-raising display of flips, jumps, tricks and grabs which showed off the incredible skill and amazing talents of 35 riders and skiers.
They ranged from Queenstown up-and-comers through to pro riders.
First place in the male ski section was won by Byron Wells.
Second place went to Matt Soundy, Hamish McDougal was third and Dhana Sherpa finished fourth.
The male snowboard category was won by Mahi Mains.
Second went to Ben Comber, Nick Hyne was third and Dylan Sutton finished fourth.
