Snow will be trucked from the Remarkables to Queenstown, where 30 invited skiers and riders are expected to entertain the crowd from 6pm.
The Remarkables Ski Area manager Ross Lawrence said the atmosphere was always "buzzing" as spectators enjoyed a "winter spectacular in the heart of Queenstown".
"Skiers and riders play up to the crowds and give a great show," Mr Lawrence said.
Included in the line-up are Nick Brown, Nick Hyne, Milu Ma, Guy McCully, Jamie Beattie, Mahi Mains, Adam Shaw, Jono Budd, Matt Soundy, Matt Johnson, Hamish McDougall, Marlon Johnson and Adie Lawrence, all of Queenstown.
Joram Makuru, Byron Wells, Beau James and Stefi Luxton, of Wanaka, would also compete, alongside Ben Comber, of Christchurch, Nick Poochoff, Liz Hoagland, and Jordan Rehrer, of the United States, Jye Kearney, of Australia, George Pengelly, of Wanaka and Christchurch, Christy Prior, of Auckland, and Kate Kuncova, of the Czech Republic.
The entertainment continues until about 10.30pm, and is free to all spectators.
The after-party will be held at the Buffalo Club.
