Ten "chickens" will fly the coop in Queenstown this morning, hoping to convince motorists to give them a ride, and to get a flying start in The Edge Incredible Chicken Race.
The five teams of two - the Chook Chooks, Chicken Lickens, Rasta Roosters, Chickadees and Cockle Doodle Dudes - will race around New Zealand, deciphering clues and taking part in different challenges.
Each aims to be the first team to cross the finish line in Auckland by June 26.
The first team to finish wins $10,000 cash from Pringles, which is launching its new Oven Roasted Chicken flavoured chips.
