QLDC morning-tea shout

Free morning tea is being offered by the Queenstown Lakes District Council to residents and ratepayers who want to submit on the council's draft annual plan this week.

The QLDC is seeking feedback from the public until May 17.

The draft annual plan sets out financial budgets for projects around the district.

QLDC deputy chief executive Stewart Burns said the council wanted to give an "informal opportunity" to consult on the plan.

Ratepayers and residents were being invited to "drop in" to scheduled "coffee mornings", between 9am and 11am, at the council offices in Wanaka today, and Queenstown tomorrow.

Council staff would answer questions and help prepare the public with any submissions they had on the plan, Mr Burns said.

The council has scheduled hearings for June 3 and 4.
