Part of next Monday's extraordinary meeting of the Queenstown Lakes District Council to discuss the airport shares issue will be open to the public.
Deputy mayor John S. Wilson, who called the meeting, told the Otago Daily Times yesterday while pending legal action meant most of the meeting would be held behind closed doors, there would be a public forum from 12.30pm. Anyone could attend and address councillors.
Mr Wilson said the meeting was "part of a process that we were always going to do."
It follows last month's sale of Queenstown Airport shares for $27.7 million to Auckland International Airport.
The Queenstown Community Strategic Asset Group and Air New Zealand are seeking a High Court injunction on the issue.
