Consulting company CPG has been employed to design the rapid infiltration beds for Queenstown's proposed waste water treatment scheme, Project Shotover, at a cost of $171,500.
The QLDC recommended CPG provide design services for five of the six stages of the project.
Project Shotover has been appealed to the Environment Court.
