Professionally speaking, you should stay on in NZ

Deputy Prime Minister Bill English will explain why up-and-coming New Zealanders should stay on this side of the Tasman when he speaks to the Queenstown Young Professionals on Thursday, November 3.

The Clutha Southland MP and finance minister speaks in the Queenstown Resort College at 5pm.

He will then attend the Great Debate, hosted by the Queenstown Chamber of Commerce with ASB.

The question-and-answer session in the Queenstown Memorial Hall will cover the economy and the repercussions for New Zealand of the current international economic situation.

The cost of rebuilding Christchurch following the earthquakes was likely to be a major issue, as well as the question of funding tourism infrastructure in resort towns such as Queenstown and Wanaka.

Mr English will be joined by Don Brash, David Cunliffe, Russel Norman and Pita Sharples, with host Jim Hopkins.

Tickets to the Great Debate at 7pm cost $15 from the chamber, ASB branches and most Wakatipu pharmacies.
