Online Queenstown fashion store Precious Peg has reported a surge in visitor traffic since its official launch earlier this month.

Company director Sonia Ross said the launch was a huge success for the company.

"The idea of the launch was to get our name out there and since then our traffic has boosted massively."

Precious Peg is the brainchild of three Queenstowners who share a vision to become Australasia's premier online fashion store.

The team consists of Sonia Ross and siblings, James and Lani Arnott.

"Building the website and getting the online security up to scratch has taken some time. Lani and myself have been busy tracking down clients and getting them on board," Miss Ross said.

"Now that we have been live for a month we are really going to push forward. It's all about spreading the word."

Mrs Arnott believes there is a gap in the market for Precious Peg.

"The target market is 20- to 50-year-old women with disposable income who are short on time but know what they like.

"They appreciate the instant satisfaction online shopping provides. They are internet savvy and look for user-friendly and designer-led technology."

Precious Peg's designer labels include Kate Sylvester, Zambesi, Karen Walker, Turet Knuefermann and Stolen Girlfriends Club.

Precious Peg is "creative, fresh and motivated to succeed", Mrs Arnott said.

"The early feedback we have had from clients is that it ticks all the boxes.

"We are excited about the potential of Precious Peg to develop into a significant online platform for Australasian designer labels."
