Christmas got an official Queenstown welcome yesterday evening with the Shotover Jet Remarkable Christmas Spectacular.

More than 500 people filled the Queenstown Events Centre to witness the festive musical explosion.

A cast of 150 Wakatipu talents wowed the audience in the fourth edition of the all-singing, all-dancing production and show director Simon Green hailed the evening as a great success.

Santa Claus made his regular end-of-show appearance, and the grand finale saw the all-star cast form perfect musical unison, with a dynamic rendition of Don't Stop Believing.

The evening truly was spectacular.
