Donations for the Locals Ball silent auction have reached more than $12,000 in value.

More than 100 tickets have been sold for the Memorial Hall fundraiser event, which starts at 7.30pm on Friday, June 1. The organisers are hoping for a sellout crowd of 500.

The Nadene Gallery in Arrowtown has made the most sizeable donation for the evening with a $5000 Max Gimblett painting to be auctioned.

Other donations include a Millbrook golf package worth more than $1000, a night at the resort for $500, a $1892 night at Eichardts and a Zip Trek Heli Tours package worth $830.

Entertainment for the night will come from the Queenstown Jazz Orchestra, local band Master Blasters and a DJ later in the night.

Organisers planned for more than 50% of the proceeds to go towards the hall upgrade.
