Hirabayashi is a mixed-media artist. She was born in Auckland and lives in Cromwell.
She presents 11 new works at Amisfield until late March.
It is her third annual solo exhibition at the gallery, near Lake Hayes.
Prices for the works range from $1300 to $4000.
The artist "captures the essence of the land in Central Otago. Those dusky, muted late-afternoon colours, that's what makes her work special. It really resonates with people."
Mandy Emerson, of Wellington, is also a mixed-media artist.
Her first solo show at Artbay, "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, How Does Your Garden Grow", will consist of 15 pieces, with prices from $2300 to $4300.
The show opened yesterday and runs until Sunday, February 20.
Artbay Gallery is encouraging feedback on its revamped website by offering a $800 triptych painting, by Queenstown artist Rachael Errington, in a prize draw.
The winner will be announced at the end of February.
