The new three-hour tour features the world's steepest flying fox, and is an extension of the company's original Moa 4-Line Tour.
Ms van Uden said she was honoured to conduct the official opening ceremony.
"I am honoured to be here today to open the Ziptrek Ecotours Kea 6-Line Tour. The balance between the environment and adventure, which is the trademark of this activity, is something to be both admired and emulated. Congratulations, and I wish you every success for the future," Ms van Uden said.
The steepest line on the Kea tour enables customers to travel at speeds of up to 70kmh as part of the zip-into-town experience.
Soon after the ribbon-cutting, Ziptrek Ecotours guide Justin Berger zipped into the newly built tree platform holding a New Zealand flag.
The tour also includes a 20-minute trek through ancient native beech forest along the Tiki Trail extension, a track created by Ziptrek Ecotours for the Queenstown community to enjoy.
Ziptrek Ecotours recently won the sustainable business award at the 2010 Westpac Queenstown Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
