Almost all 80 places in Wanaka's first Youth and Adults in the Music Industry (Yami) summit have been taken with a ''whoosh and a bang'', according to organiser Lynne Christie.

The summit, on May 16 and 17, will give participants the opportunity to explore all avenues of the music industry with the likes of Mu (Fat Freddy's Drop), Anika Moa, Dave Dobbyn, Barnaby Weir (The Black Seeds, Fly My Pretties), Devin Abrams (Shapeshifter), Craig Pearce (The Phoenix Foundation), MC Tali, Steven Marr and Indira Force (Doprah), Warren Maxwell (Trinity Roots), Anthony Healey (Apra), Kristin Bowman (Recorded Music NZ) and others.

Ms Christie said they would have the chance to ''find their tribe as a creative'' in the music industry, whether it was as a musician or as a manager in some other role.
