A ''mini Womad [World of Music Arts and Dance] in one show'' is the act Southern Lakes Festival of Colour director Philip Tremewan is most anticipating, with its Congolese percussionist, traditional Vietnamese vocalist and blues guitarist.
Electric Wire Hustle Family (EWH) plays in the Queenstown Memorial Centre on April 20 at 8pm and the Central Lakes Trust Crystal Palace, Wanaka, on April 21, at 8.30pm. Tickets cost $38.
Mr Tremewan said: ''Electric Wire Hustle Family is one of my favourites. EWH take their great sound that has toured extensively though the world, and then added in the extra dimension of performing with their parents.''
