Central Otago's premier bowls tournament will be held in Arrowtown this week, with top bowlers from Otago and Southland invited to take to the green in the men's SBS Arrowtown Invitational Fours.
Spokesman John Polson said 16 teams, including New Zealand singles finalist Shaun Scott; New Zealand titleholder and New Zealand representative Ken Walker; Southland and Central Otago representative Allan Ramsay; Southland and New Zealand titleholder Ross Stewart; Central Otago representative and championship winner Pat Houlihan; New Zealand fours finalist Ian Brown; and long-time Southland representative Harry Croswell, had entered the tournament.
Prize money for the event is between $3500 and $4000, with the winners collecting $1600, Mr Polson said.
The tournament begins on the Arrowtown Bowling Green at 9am tomorrow.
