Sixteen children living with life-threatening illnesses, and their caregivers, enjoyed the all-expenses-paid weekend in the resort, which included luging at the Skyline, a trip up Coronet Peak to play in the snow, a ride on a Kawarau Jet boat and a tour of The Hills golf course on carts.
Joining the children, who had come from all over New Zealand, were Shortland Street actor Angela Bloomfield and former Shortland Street actor Renato Bartolomei.
Following the golf cart tour and then speeches at The Hills on Saturday, businessman Michael Hill presented the charity with a $20,000 cheque, the proceeds from his book Toughen Up.
The Hills general manager Sam Gent said Cure Kids was the charity of choice for Mr Hill and all his other operations outside Michael Hill International.
The Hills hosts the Cure Kids Open tournament each November and there were plans to make it "much bigger", Ms Gent said.
