Golf-themed lunch to open chamber's series

The Queenstown Chamber of Commerce will launch its 2010 Business Luncheon Series with a golf-themed lunch to coincide with the Michael Hill New Zealand Golf Open next week.

Guests at the luncheon will be treated to inspirational stories from the world of golf from local jeweller and entrepreneur Michael Hill, director of player services on the PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) Nationwide Tour Marty Caffey, who will give an insight into life on the PGA circuit, and broadcasters Peter Williams and Philip Leishman.

Chamber chief executive Ann Lockhart said the 2009 luncheon series had proved very successful, and she expected the organisation's first event of the year to be a sellout.

• The golf luncheon will take place at the Skyline Gondola and Restaurant on Thursday, January 29, at 12.30pm. Tickets cost $35 for chamber members and $45 for non-members, and include a buffet meal and gondola ride.
