Queenstown police dealt with several assaults at the weekend in which the victims received facial injuries.
At 1.10am yesterday, a 37-year-old New Zealander was arrested and charged with assault after an incident with a doorman.
Acting Sergeant Dave Felstead said the man had been told to leave a Searle Lane bar due to his level of intoxication.
The doorman sustained facial injuries.
Five minutes later in Queenstown Mall, a 21-year-old Englishman was arrested and charged with assault after allegedly assaulting two security staff, causing facial injuries.
At 3am in Camp St, a person was allegedly punched in the face inside a bar and required hospital treatment.
At 3.05am on Saturday, a 25-year-old New Zealander was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour after allegedly trying to instigate fights with a doorman.
All alleged offenders are expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court today.
