Walter Dear Walter (2012), individually hot pressed glass feathers and wings, is one of the works by the Crystal Chain Gang to be exhibited alongside the elegant works of Wellington artist Elizabeth Thomson in Nadene Milne Gallery, Arrowtown.
The Crystal Chain Gang is the glass-making duo Jim Dennison and Leanne Williams, based in Martinborough. Dennison is the glass-maker and self-described technical problem-solver while Williams has the fine arts background in painting. The couple have been making glass works since 2002.
Nadene Milne Gallery presents their first private exhibition after their tour of national public galleries titled ''Fancy Fools Flight''.
• The Crystal Chain Gang will give a presentation and discuss their collaboration and creative process with the community in Dorothy Brown's Cinema on July 16 at 7pm for $8, to cover cinema costs.
Contact the Arrowtown cinema to reserve seats. After the talk, everyone will move next door to the gallery for the free opening of the exhibition at 8pm.
