Ziptrek Ecotours was recognised as one of New Zealand's most sustainable companies at the Sustainable 60 Awards in Auckland on Wednesday night.
The Queenstown based adventure tourism operation won in the marketplace category. It took one of the top placings along with Beca, Soar Printing, Auckland Airport, Bank of New Zealand, Meridian Energy and Anguillid Consulting Engineers and Scientists.
PricewaterhouseCoopers partner and judge Julia Hoare said in a statement the calibre of the entries was "outstanding".
"This year's finalists recognise that to be in business for the long haul, business as usual is not an option. They demonstrated they are leading the transformational changes required to position their organisations for long-term success."
