Queenstown Memorial Hall was at maximum capacity on Saturday evening, as close to 500 parents, brothers, sisters and friends rallied to show their support for the Danceworks End of Year Show.

Covering all genres of dance, from advanced ballet, to modern jazz, to hip-hop, the show was broken down into 28 seamless performances, as a two-hour visual and musical spectacular.

Danceworks pupils from ages 5 to 14 all strutted their stuff to classic hits, such as Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and more modern beats like Love The Way You Lie, by Rihanna.

At the end of the show, last year's trophy winners were each awarded a certificate as their trophies were handed over to this year's most outstanding young dancers.

The new Danceworks Queenstown term starts on Monday, February 7, 2011.
