The Queenstown Arts Society quizzed its landlord over electricity charges and reductions to lease subsidies at a recent Queenstown Lakes District Council subcommittee forum.
QAS president Barbara Glass asked how the draft Community Facility Funding Policy related to the society's lease of Qpact rooms, on Stanley St, during the public forum of the community services committee.
She sought confirmation the power supply to the two rooms QAS leased from the council would be metered, as requested, so the society would be billed fairly.
She also asked when the society's leases would come up for negotiation.
Community services general manager Paul Wilson said Qpact's electricity would be metered soon.
Subsidy reduction reviews were expected to be considered by Lakes Property Services every three years.
It was not known yet by how much the subsidy would be reduced, he said.
