Consent bid for sites

Jack's Point Ltd has applied for resource consent for another 49 residential allotments in its new town beside Lake Wakatipu.

The application lodged with Lakes Environmental said Jacks Point wanted to create the 49 building platforms, five access allotments and one private road allotment as per a resource consent originally granted in December 2007.

That consent allowed for 96 residential allotments to be created, along with five allotments for open space, 15 for private roads and one balance lot.

It included a "staging condition" allowing the development to be completed in three stages.

Stage one of that development has already been completed and the current application seeks consent for stage two.

Lots 1 to 49 would range in size from 674sq m to 939sq m, designed to "accommodate opportunities for residential living".

Lots 101 to 105, totalling 908sq m, were proposed as access lots, while Lot 201, 9114sq m, was proposed as the private road. The private "ring road" would utilise a common entry point off Morrison Dr, the feeder road. It would directly serve 35 of the 49 allotments.
