About 100 people enjoyed the 14th annual Gibbston community picnic at Gibbston at the weekend.
Organiser Susan Stevens said she was delighted with the turnout.
"I'm thrilled that Santa could be there, doing his lolly scramble. There were lots of little happy faces," she said.
The children enjoyed a bouncy castle, face painting and games.
The communal picnic was organised by the Gibbston Community Association, which supplied sausages and venison.
Families were invited to bring food to share and Santa Claus supplied the lollies and presents for the children.
