A clear head for leukaemia

A woolly beanie will be the essential accessory for Destination Queenstown chief executive Tony Everitt after signing up to shave his head in support of the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation.

Mr Everitt will join Air New Zealand Group general manager Bruce Parton, MoreFM breakfast host Jeremy Corbett and all the passengers and crew on Air New Zealand's Sky High Shave flight from Auckland to Queenstown on June 27, where locks will be lost on the way to the American Express Queenstown Winter Festival.

Mr Everitt said it was a bold but excellent way of showing support for those living with blood cancers, such as leukaemia and lymphoma.

"This crazy scheme is for an excellent cause and for those taking part there's also the added bonus of being able to enjoy the southern hemi-sphere's biggest winter party.

All funds raised from the mass head-shave will go to the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation.
