More charges are pending for a group of Invercargill men after three Queenstown men were assaulted in the resort at the weekend.
Detective Sergeant Grahme Bartlett said a 20-year-old man was arrested on Saturday and charged with disorderly behaviour likely to cause violence.
"It was just a holding charge. He will appear in the Queenstown District Court on May 17, where further charges will be laid," Det Sgt Bartlett said.
Two 16-year-old youths were also involved.
"They will be dealt with by Youth Aid and inquiries are also continuing with a fourth person believed to be involved in the assaults.
"We are hoping to have a decision on charges later this week," he said.
