An Australian tourist lost control of a campervan on State Highway 6 at Gibbston last night and the vehicle crashed and overturned, injuring the driver and one of her passengers.
The woman and her three passengers, all 21-year-olds from Queensland, were travelling to Queenstown when the crash occurred at the Gibbston Valley Winery at 6.30pm.
One of the injured had abdominal injuries and the other arm and neck injuries.
They were taken to Lakes District Hospital at Frankton for further assessment and treatment, a St John Ambulance spokeswoman said.
It was not known last night whether charges would be laid.
