Enthusiasm, but not experience, is required when Remarkable Theatre opens auditions this weekend for its next promenade theatre production in late January.
Greed, Glamour and Grudges: Tales of Gold will be the troupe's series of scenes and songs with the theme of gold in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the discovery of gold in Otago next year.
Thespians are needed to perform in spots around the Queenstown Gardens from January 27 to 29.
Auditions will be held in the upstairs rooms shared by Remarkable Theatre and Showbiz Queenstown on Isle St on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Committee member Melanie Grindell said yesterday the theatre "wanted to get involved in the anniversary celebrations and we're always looking for different themes and this one has given us lots of gems the audiences are sure to love".
