Eat Humble Pie launched its new range of Christmas pies yesterday with the traditional Christmas dinner as its inspiration.
Each piping hot golden pastry contains all the delicious trimmings: turkey, carrots and cranberry stuffing.
Eat Humble Pie co-owner Mike Burke said Christmas pies were perfect for his regular clientele at the Camp St kiosk who were either ''constantly on the go during the resort's peak season, or are travelling on a budget and will appreciate an affordable one-stop good square meal''.
The Christmas pie would also give Queenstown's many Asian visitors the chance to find out why Christmas dinner is so enduringly popular in the West, he said.
Mr Burke said he anticipated earning a good crust while the new limited-edition delicacy was on the menu, until the 12th day after Christmas, and hoped he did not have a turkey on his hands.
