New Zealand's favourite Cookie Muncher will arrive in the resort in time for the Oaks Hotels and Resorts Street Parade on June 26, but he will be back to meet as many of Wakatipu's children as he could at the Cookie Time Teddy Bears' Picnic on July 4.
The unmissable bundle of energy with bright red fur, a permanent smile and arms designed for hugging would greet children at the door of the Queenstown Events Centre at the picnic, running from 11am to 2pm.
Cookie Time recently opened its first store and Cookie Bar in the resort and was thrilled to be taking part in its first-ever festival.
Parents and children were invited to bring a picnic lunch and their favourite teddy bears for this indoor-activity day, where captivating storytellers, colourful face painters, songs a plenty and special guests will work their magic.
Competitions for the best-dressed teddy bear and the child with the most teddy bears would be held, along with a prize for the best-dressed "little person", awarded to the child who has made the best effort to dress up as their favourite character.
