Large crowds turned out for the ever-popular MoreFM Day on the Bay, at Earnslaw Park, yesterday.
Three blonde-wigged and bikini-wearing girls and a guy in trunks from Hush Spa won first place, after wowing the crowds with a saucy strip of clothing, then a mime of a spa treatment, before taking the plunge in the Birdman competition.
Second place went to Team Matthews, with Vaughan Matthews celebrating his 40th birthday.
Red Baron was third.
McGreggor Fea was first in the men's Splash and Dash competition, with Stefan Haworth second and Andrew Wylie third.
Tanya Dromgool won the women's competition, followed by Manea John.
In the Jet Sprints competition, Andre Cockburn (Skippers Jet) won in 58.72sec.
Second (103.56sec) was Murray Kees (Shotover Jet), while Craig Beer (Kawarau Jet) was third (107.97sec) and Royce Aston (Dart River Jet) was fourth (108.37sec).
Spectators lined the streets to enjoy the colour, music and spectacle of the Oaks Hotels and Resorts Festival Parade and Family Fun Day on Saturday.
The Queenstown and Southern Lakes Highland Pipe Band led a procession of community groups, including Frankton Playcentre, St John Wakatipu and Wakatipu Scouts, around the central business district to the delight of the crowd.
Businesses joined in the fun, including Shotover Jet, Cookie Time, Lakes Leisure and Coronet Peak and Cardrona skifields.
Queenstown Primary School won the community float award and Reel Collectibles won the business float award.
Alisa Wood was named the best dressed lady at the Moulin Rouge-themed Lindauer Masquerade Ball, at the Millennium Hotel, on Saturday night.
Southern Stampede had ground to make up last night in its ice hockey match, after a 5-0 trouncing by the Canterbury Red Devils in Saturday's game at the Queenstown Ice Rink.
