Jacks Point developers have applied to the Queenstown Lakes District Council to increase the residential area at the $2 billion golf resort village.
Zante Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary owned by the Jacks Point developers, has applied to the council for resource consent to create an additional seven residential allotments within 7630sq m of the golf course and a recreational facilities activity area.
The application also seeks land-use consent to allow for houses on each of the new lots.
Submissions on the application can be made to the council before October 29.
The developers recently sold 14 large blocks of land to Singaporean investors for $24.3 million.
Directors could not be reached for comment.
Jacks Point is a 1200ha development on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. When finished, it will have more than 1300 residential homes, a village centre with a luxury lodge, restaurants and a golf course.
