The developers of a 200ha piece of land neighbouring Lake Hayes off State Highway 6 at Ladies Mile have now applied for land use consent to erect a recreational facility on the site.
Meadow 3 Ltd, developers of Threepwood, wants to build a single-storey "cottage-style pavilion", a tennis court, petanque court, children's play area and a car park.
The application says the pavilion would be used as a "social meeting place for the residents of Threepwood" and would also contain bathroom and kitchen facilities which would only be available for use by residents of the wider Threepwood development.
Access would be provided for via a 3.7m-wide road from the existing internal road.
Formed parking for five vehicles would be provided with any overspill car parking available on the unformed legal road and stock access route.
Landscaping would include a mix of planting comprising hedge planting, shrubs and grasses and the development would be visible from outside the site, the application said.
Submissions on the application close on November 26.
