More than 130,000 passengers moved through Queenstown Airport last month - a 21.9% increase, smashing the previous record.
Monthly passenger statistics for the airport showed double-digit domestic and international growth, boosted by the Queenstown International Marathon and major concerts by Fleetwood Mac in Dunedin and Auckland, and Sir Elton John in Wellington.
That was on the back of a 17.3% increase in November 2014, boosted by the Queenstown marathon and the Rolling Stones concert in Auckland.
International and domestic capacity increased by 47% and 21% respectively, resulting in increased passenger volumes.
There was a 46.5% increase on international routes to 33,191 passengers, with particularly strong growth on the Sydney and Melbourne routes.
International arrivals spiked last month, up 61% compared with November 2014.
Domestic passengers increased 15.4% to 99,398, attributed largely to extra capacity on the Auckland-Queenstown route, with loadings remaining high.
Total 12-month passenger numbers continued to grow, with a 13.7% increase in the 12 months to November to 1,481,392.
The spring season, from September to November, also showed year-on-year growth, with a 17% increase to 368,703.
International passenger numbers increased by 29% to 100,052, with domestic passenger movements rising by 13% to 268,651.
