About $3500 was raised for the Wakatipu Abuse Prevention Network after two sold-out performances by a Queenstown actress and a silent auction at The Hills clubhouse in Arrowtown last Friday and Saturday.
Capacity audiences of 70 patrons each night enjoyed the performance of Sandi Murphy, of Arthur's Point, who played six characters in a one-woman play, Verbatim.
Ms Murphy, who first performed the show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in London nine years ago, wanted to help raise awareness of domestic violence in the Wakatipu.
She donated the proceeds from her show to the network.
About 30 sponsors donated paintings, accommodation packages, scenic tours and restaurant vouchers to a silent auction, which raised about $2900.
Arrowtown businessman and arts supporter Michael Hill and his family attended the performance on Saturday.
Te Rito family violence co-ordinator Philippa Winter said funds would be put towards operating costs of the abuse prevention network.
Mrs Winter thanked Ms Murphy, the network's supporters and sponsors.
