Last year, the 22-year-old Oamaru man walked from Bluff to Cape Reinga, dragging a cross, to encourage young people to take challenges.
On Easter Monday this year, he left Cape Reinga to make the return trip, arriving in Oamaru on Wednesday afternoon, having left Studholme, near Waimate, in the morning.
Mr Craig admitted it was "pretty challenging" at the start as he knew what he was letting himself in for.
However, he was feeling "pretty good" and looking forward to a sleep in his own bed.
After a few days rest, he expected he would be back on the road about Monday, doing about 7km an hour on his size 13 feet.
There had been a lot of toots and encouragement along the way and his boss walked with him this week.
