A woman suffered serious injuries after she was ejected from a moving car in Waterfront Rd, Oamaru, last night.
A police spokesman said emergency services were called to the incident about 8.45pm.
The victim was taken to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter.
No further details were immediately available, the spokesman said.
