A 24-year-old woman has been taken to Oamaru Hospital with serious injuries after a car rolled on Seven Mile Rd, north of Oamaru, this afternoon.
The woman was the front passenger in the west-bound car, which travelled onto the verge before rolling and coming to rest upside down in the water table about 3pm, police at the scene said.
The woman's 5-year-old daughter was also taken to hospital as a precaution, while a 1-year-old boy and the driver, a 27-year-old male, were uninjured in the crash.
The group were all members of the same family, police said.
A serious crash unit from Alexandra was on the way to the scene.
