Waitaki community safety officer Alison Banks is sending a "package" outlining those initiatives to the Ministry of Justice and Justice Minister Simon Power, the Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand and national police headquarters.
It will also be available to other interested parties.
The initiatives included the No Regrets party pack, the Out of Harm's Way contract between parents and their children, a visit by former All Black Norm Hewitt, advertising aimed at reducing the supply of alcohol to young people and showing the consequences of the binge drinking culture, the town's liquor ban and the Drive 2 Survive courses.
The package also included a DVD of a play illustrating some of the consequences of teenage binge drinking.
The play, written by Waitaki Girls High School pupils Nicky Fisher and Courtney Smith, premiered at Waitaki Boys High School in June.
Mrs Banks was impressed with the play, saying it touched on a lot of "taboo" issues.
The message was quite clear to parents about what children were having to deal with socially, especially when alcohol was involved, she said.
