Sometimes, something lost is not worth retrieving.
An Oamaru woman ended up with her arm trapped in a fence on Frome St, Oamaru, last night after dropping a cellphone between a fence and a power box.
A New Zealand Fire Service spokesman said it was an unfortunate situation in which the woman had a phone in her hand but was unable to use it to call emergency services.
The woman was trapped for a short time before the Oamaru Fire Brigade was alerted about 7.15pm. She was freed from the fence about 15 minutes later, the spokesman said.
