Camp Iona will be bursting with the sound of music during Queen's Birthday weekend, with the Whitestone Music Festival on again this year.
This is the 17th festival.
In recent years, the festivals have attracted a full contingent of 120 people, staying in the camp accommodation, near Herbert, and some bringing campervans.
Organisers this year have top quality guest artists, including Chris Priestley from Auckland, Viv McDonald and Slattery's Ashes from Dunedin and the increasingly popular Delgirl, also from Dunedin.
The camp is organised by the New Edinburgh Folk Club in Dunedin and has grown to become a popular event for folk musicians.
During the weekend there are impromptu blackboard concerts, guest concerts, a "blind date" concert, poets corner, barn dance on Saturday night, workshops, learners' jam and dance.
Participants are urged to "think up something bizarre" to wear to the cabaret final concert on Sunday night.
