About 500 people were at the regatta, reviving the tradition of boat racing dating back to 1885.
About 20 boats took part in races ranging from Seagull-powered boats to coracles, organised by the Friendly Bay Boat Society.
There were also beach-based competitions from three-legged races to sand castles.
The temperature soared to 36degC until a strong southwest wind just before 3pm disrupted the programme, and the temperature dropped to 20degC in a matter of minutes.
