Following her March concert, Dame Kiri praised the the Oamaru Opera House as ''a little gem''.
The opera house hosted the Seven Irish Tenors a month later, and will now host the popular Ten Tenors group, in October.
Opera house director Megan Peacock-Coyle said the venue had ''definitely'' grown in popularity since Dame Kiri gave it the thumbs-up.
''It's definitely great to have that opera element in an opera house, for sure.
''My programme is definitely fuller. I think definitely the Kiri concert helped our profile.
"I think her giving it the nod of approval by coming and then afterwards saying what a lovely venue it was, word has got around and high-profile events are taking a bit more of a risk by coming to Oamaru that they may not have taken in the past.''
Mrs Peacock-Coyle said the opera house remained a ''community entertainment venue'', and there was a ''very, very'' busy programme for the rest of the year.
The Russian Ballet, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Topp Twins would all perform in Oamaru.
The Ten Tenors will appear on October 4 as part of a month-long tour of New Zealand, and show producer D-J Wendt said the group was not scheduled to return to the country until 2015.
Opera House marketing manager Kiriana Glasson said the group, which recently performed on the Oprah television show in the United States, had a ''wide appeal base''.
''It's a good way to follow up after Dame Kiri.''
