Waitaki Road Safe, using a $350 grant, has donated 10 new helmets to replace those which are now about 14 years old.
The helmets are part of equipment, including cycles, which Const Hamilton uses to teach cycle safety skills to 8 to 12-year-olds in North Otago schools.
The next project will be to replace some of the cycles used in the programme.
