Today is the last day for Waihemo community groups to be nominated for the TrustPower Waihemo Community Awards.
The awards, run in conjunction with the Waitaki District Council, recognise and reward voluntary groups and organisations for outstanding community contributions.
The voluntary group named this year's supreme winner will attend the national awards in the Nelson and Tasman regions in March.
The awards cover five categories - heritage and environment, health and wellbeing, arts and culture, sport and leisure, plus educational and child-youth development.
Category winners receive $500 and runners-up take home $250.
The Waihemo awards will be presented on October 5.
