New Year’s Eve plans decided

The Oamaru Gardens will once again play host to New Year’s Eve celebrations this December.

The Waitaki District Council said in a statement yesterday the event would follow on from last year’s successful night.

MCs Mulletman and Mim, an internationally seasoned acrobatics, juggling and charm duo, will start things off at 6pm.

There will be live music from Iara, The Heavy Feathers and bringing in the new year will be The Beat Skips, a live band delivering the beats, as Oamaru counts down to midnight.

Party at the Gardens is an alcohol- and glass-free event — no BYO — but there will be a licensed tipi bar on site.
