A fire investigator is on the scene today after a house went up in flames in North Otago last night.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews from Weston, Palmerston and Hampden were called to the blaze in London St in Hampden just before 8pm.
The single-storey 150sq m wooden house was "fully involved" with fire when the first crew arrived, he said.
The fire was not being treated as suspicious, he said.
