Extra tickets for Oamaru's Food and Wine Festival tomorrow means people will be able to buy them at the gate.
The festival's organising committee has negotiated with the Waitaki District Council to allow an extra 500 people on to the site in the Oamaru Public Gardens.
Before that, the number was restricted to 2500 and the demand for tickets saw them sold out.
However, the committee was worried about people who left a decision until the day, particularly those from outside the district who would have not known there were no gate sales and were disappointed.
The extra tickets will go on sale from 10.30am.
The festival starts at 11am.
The unprecedented demand for tickets has been due partially to the main entertainer, Gin Wigmore, arranged for the festival.
Gate sale tickets cost $20.
