The future of Otepopo School, in North Otago, will soon rest with Education Minister Anne Tolley.
Mrs Tolley dissolved the school's board of trustees in March, saying her decision followed an Education Review Office report finding that important governance and management issues at the school had not been addressed.
Mike Allison, who was appointed commissioner, later presented four options comprising continuation, merger, a satellite school or closure.
Parents and the community were invited to make submissions.
The community has been divided in its views over the future of the school.
When contacted yesterday, Mr Allison said all the information had been collated by the Ministry of Education in Dunedin and prepared as a submission to Mrs Tolley.
A spokesman for Mrs Tolley said the submission had not yet been received.
